FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND:
03:00 - 04:00: CEU – SUSTAINABILITY IN MANUFACTURING; SEPARATING FACT FROM FICTION SPONSORED BY HUBBARDTON FORGE: Sustainability has gained interest both among designers and the general public in recent years as recognition of environmental impact from non-sustainable practices becomes an increasing concern. With greater interest from potential buyers come more products and services looking to share in the market. While many companies make valid attempts to deliver sustainable products, others distort facts and claims. This course presents the facts and fiction beyond sustainability and green products. The information will help designers to avoid unscrupulous companies offering questionable products and it will help designers better-serve customers both in residential and commercial settings.
04:15 - 05:15: CEU - TRACE IT BACK - GBCI APPROVED CREDIT SPONSORED BY 3FORM: An overview of materials transparency and how it relates to green building, and socially and environmentally responsible manufacturing. The program contains an explanation of products’ life cycle and associated health and environmental impacts from creation, use, and disposal. In addition, this course will explore the ways in which transparency documents can be used when determining the appropriate material choices in designing for a healthier built environment.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD:
10:00 - 11:00: CEU - MAXIMIZING TILE INSTALLATION PRESENTED BY DALTILE & MARRAZI: Manufacturers produce a variety of beautiful and durable tiles, but the availability of coordinating trim pieces can be limited. This has led to the development of a wide range of trim profiles. This seminar will focus on how trim profiles improve the integrity of tile installations and increase the versatility of tile in various applications, including floors, walls, countertops, and more.
02:15 - 03:15: CEU - LUXURY OUTDOOR KITCHENS PRESENTED BY FERGUSON & WOLF: This educational unit has been designed to educate architects, designers, contractors and installers about Luxury Outdoor Kitchens and options for design and layout, for product specification, installation and proper use. By understanding these topics, building professionals will be in a better position to serve their clients and help create upscale outdoor spaces that greatly enhance a home's functionality, enjoyment and value.
03:30 - 04:30: CEU - THE DYED-IN-THE-WOOL SPONSORED BY DELOS: The Dyed-in-the-Wool CEU, Home Accent’s Todays February Editorial, is available free-of-charge and is funded by The Campaign for Wool New Zealand.
